hello....
well, this past week has sure been good. i mean, it was Christmas so naturally it was classy. but there were also some other cool things that happened and yeah. anyway, here we go:
First of all, we baptized Ray. that was awesome. Cachoeiro is tearing it up with the baptisms so far. in this past month, our ward alone has baptized 5 people (the other missionaries in our ward baptized 3 this month).
Second, we found a really awesome investigator: Her name is Jaine, and she was baptized about 15 years ago. However, she has been inactive for the past 13 years. We didn´t find any of this out until we had already entered into her house and were talking to her when she told us. So yeah, she´s been inactive for a really long time, but when we started teaching her, the Spirit just touched her heart and helped her remember why she was baptized. When we left her was super happy and excited to go to church and be a memeber of the church again. She was at church this Sunday, and has a ten-year-old daughter who we can baptize, so that´s awesome too.
Third, is that yesterday (the 27th) marked my 7 months on the mission. I didn´t have a party or anything, but yeah. . . . having 7 months now is fairly legit. It also makes one more month out of the CTM, which means i´m now arriving in the you´ve-been-on-the-mission-a-pretty-long-time-now-dude zone. Now, i´m a long ways away from being a greenie, fresh out of the CTM.
Well, that´s it so far. Christmas was awesome and everything is going good. hope you guys have an awesome new year. I´ll be sleepin right on through it and going to bed at 10:30, so that´ll be exciting. thanks for everything. i love you guys, and i know that this Chruch is true, and that I was called here to do this work and to help these people here in Cachoeiro. Keep the commandments and receive the blessing that God has for you. Be happy. Thanks for all of your love and support, love,
Elder Tasso
