hi

so this week has really been classy. i can´t believe how the time here is flying by. i´ve only got 3 more weeks and then i´m finally out in the field which will be super duper awesome. anyway, here and some awesome things that happened to me this week:

first...for the past couple days, everyone in the CTM has been going kinda crazy because some guy is coming to visit the CTM and inspect it or something. his official title is like ''head coordinator for all international MTC´s.'' i made that up but he´s the person who´s in charge of all of them. anyway, he´s coming over and he´s reviewing everything and seeing wasup. he´s also reviewing the curriculum, and so they choose some teachers and classes for him to sit in on and critique and see how they are. anyway, we have awesome teachers, so one of them got choosen.

so our class is going to be observed by this guy who´s in charge of everything, the CTM president, and then like 5 other teachers and curriculum people. and then i found out that our teacher choose my companion and i to teach the last part of the first lesson in portuguese to her while we were being watched. anyway, i was kinda nervous and stuff but we did super awesome, but still. it was crazy getting teaching in front of all those people. so that was cool.

and then later that day, we had the opputunity to go proselyting out in the streets. my companion and i got 5 Book of Mormons and they just let us loose to go out in the streets and convert some people. at first i was kinda nervous, because i didn´t know how the people would respond, but i shouldn´t have been worried. the people in Brazil are the nicest people ever. the ones who didn´t have time would apologize to us (although it was probably a lie haha). and sharing the gospel to those people and bringing them the gospel was one of the best experiences of my life. i am so grateful for the Gospel. handing out those Book of Mormons was crazy. i cannot describe how happy i felt after talking to people on the street for a while and when they would finally accept the book and say they´d read it. one lady that we talked to was walking with her daughter. as we told her who we were, she told us that she already had her religion and that she was happy with it. we continued to talk to her, but she didn´t seem that interested. i thought that she wouldn´t accept it, but then my companion began to tell her about the plan of salvation and how she could live with her daughter for ever--not just this life. she stopped and continued to listen and then she took it. this story may sound kinda lame but it was so awesome to be there and to see her. i have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. i am so excited to spend the next two years helping people return to Christ. the first couple weeks were not very fun, but that friday afternoon made it all worth it.

also, thanks for the forth of july stuff. we had a party and it was awesome. i made everyone wear there suits and patriotic ties, i used the balloons you gave me and hung them up in my room, and i also slicked back my hair and put a part in it. God bless america! it was classy. anyway. thanks for everything. i love you all a lot and i´m super excited to be here in brazil.
