hello--

well well well....this past week has been super sweet. I am loving it here. I absolutely love my mission. I made 10 months today, and it was cool, but I was also a little sad to see how fast it´s passing--and to know that it´s almost half over. But yeh. ten months. woot woot. legit eh?

And also: today we did something cool on P-day which was kinda nice, considering that we never do anything cause there´s nothing to do and we can´t play soccer. yeah. we hiked this big ´ol mountain/hill that´s next to Cachoeiro, and that was cool cause we could see the beach from there and also a bunch of other mountains and the city too. so it was good, except that now i´m sunburned and itchy from all the weeds. but it was sweet anyways. and i´m including pictures, so you´ll see em.
And now....for  the updates and what´s what and what´s happening:

1. We baptized Solange and Lucas saturday. that was sweet. Solange (the one who stopped smoking) is probably one of the coolest people I know. she is so excited to be a member of the church, and i´m so grateful for the oppurtunity that i had to teach her and help her learn about the Gospel. she was just smiling and so happy to at church this sunday as she was confirmed a member of the church. yeah. she´s sweet. Lucas is also awesome. He and his cousin are excited about the church and all ready to go. the only hiccup was that after he was baptized, he went straight outside and thought that the baptizimal meeting was over, soooo we had to chase after him and bring him back. but other than than, it was good.

2. We found other sweet investigators this week too: Morgana, Cédia, Diana (one family) and Gilberto and Alexandre (another family). They were all at church (except Diana, who we did talk to until later Sunday night) but they´re all sweet. We have been extremely blessed to be able to find all these people. We have been talking to everyone this past week. I make a million contacts, and talk to everyone to see if they´d be interested. And it wasn´t until Saturday when we found them. We worked hard the entire week and it wasn´t till the end when we were rewarded with people that are actually interested in the Gospel. So yeah. exciting.

3. also, we taught a woman that was almost all the way deaf. it was hilarious. I´d say something. she wouldn´t understand. then my comp would say the same thing. she wouldn´t understand again. and then the mother of the woman shouted in her ear: "THEY´RE TRYING TO SAY THAT THE CHRUCH OF...." hahah. oh man oh man. old people are so awesome. i can´t wait to be old.

4. i bought a new bag this week. i was sick of my old one, and so i bought this new thing for R$10 and i thought that it was sweet, until i saw that it already has a hole in it. so that was one quality product, eh?

well, i think that´s it for now. but don´t worry. i´m doing good and this next week´ll have more cool stories for ya. i should be preaching in the Assembly of God this coming week, so we´ll see how that goes. I will let ya know what goes down with that and if i end up calling upon the flames of heaven to cure some crazy person or something. well.....the church is true, and i´m so happy to be here. be good. i love ya guys.
