hey guys--
so this week has been really good. I`m having fun down here. hope everything is staying classy over there. this week was nice--we found a couple people who are really interested in the Gospel. One lady that we´re teaching is just the happiest person already. She´s sweet, and as we were teaching her about the Book of Mormon, she wanted to buy it cause she just thought it was awesome. and it is awesome. and its free. anyway. we also found another really cool lady, and it´d be sweet if they all get baptised.
ANDDDD......it was stephen´s B-day last week, right? i knew it, and i was gonna tell him happy birthday but i forgot and didn´t have time because i was busy writing to Pres. Pickett. so sorry steve. but happy birthday.
So I don´t know how it is in Utah, but down here, a bunch of people are getting the swine flu (here its the gripe) and everyone is panicking. there are a bunch of weirdos who were the masks. well.....i´d rather get the swine flu than lose my dignity and wear one of those surgical masks. ha!
Another cool thing that i found out yesterday: i was talkin with my comp, and he says he can understand spanish and italian, because those languages are both very similar to portuguese. but the funniest part is that spanish speakers can´t understand what he says unless he talks really slow. well, that´s awesome. I´m gonna come back and i´ll know 4 languages.
fun fact: so, campos is a big, flat city, and all around are fields of sugar cane. This time of year is harvest time, or something and they burn the fields after they´ve harvested so they can replant. well....as i´m walking around, ash from the fields falls into the city that´s been blow by the wind. it´s black snow, and its rather morbid, the way it slowly floats down to earth.
Well--things are going good. i´m so grateful for this oppurtunity i have to be here in brasil and share the gospel with people. I konw that this church is true. hope you guys are awesome. love ya. have fun with school starting.
